Hebrew 13:5 says:
"I'll never leave you or forsake you"
Malachi 3:3 says:
"And he shall sit as a refier and purifer of silver and he shall purify".
A silversmith has to sit there the whole time the silver is in the fire watching and making sure the fire does not destroy it. If at any time the silver was left too long in the flame, it would be destroyed.
A silversmith has to hold the silver over the fire and let it heat up. He needs to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the fire is hottest. Being in the middle of the hottest part of the fire the impurities begin to burn off.
The silversmith knows the silver has been refined, when, and only when he can see his image in it.

Keep His Yoke Upon you
Matthew 11:28-30 says: "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
He is saying to keep the spirit resting in you, and things will be alright, there is peace and rest when his yoke is resting on you. But we need to learn him, study, pray, fast, and by doing this the spirit of God will be on your life.
The spirit of God was resting on Peter and people just wanted his shadow to cast on them and they believed they would be healed, it wasn't anything he did it was the yoke of God he was carrying.
James 4:8 says: "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."

Let Go & Don't Look Back
Jesus is asking you to let go of what ever it may be that would stop Him from blessing you.
Luke 9:62 says: "No man, having put his hands to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
In other words Jesus is saying to not look at the things that you used to do when you were of the world and in sin, the more you look back the more the enemy makes it easier for you to allow yourself to get comfortable with it and sin steps in. Don't be like Lot's wife and let your heart deceive you.
James 4:7 says: "Submit yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee."

Walking on Water
What ever you may be going through, remember that Jesus will meet you half way and he wants you to come to him and he will walk with you back to the boat. Keep your eyes on him and you will not sink in the things the world will throw at you. Remember he said "I will never leave you or forsake you" (Matthew 14).
